Allred's Chevrolet Pontiac Oldsmobile-Jeep was located at 737 S Main, Cottonwood, Arizona. JIM CLICK DODGE, Tucson, AZ/ 877-333-7408

Jim Click Dodge is located at 850 W Automall Drive, Tucson, AZ. At the start of 2013 they had 150 new and 90 used vehicles in stock. 132 are new 2013s and 18 are leftover new 2012s. 50 of the vehicles are Dodge and 100 are RAMs. The breakdown of new Dodge cars is 12 Chargers, 11 Challengers, 11 Darts and 1 Avenger. In a typical trend, there are plenty of the Challenger SXT six cylinders on site, but only one top dog Challenger SRT8 392 which is a leftover new 2012 in Stinger Yellow.

Like many other Dodge dealers, Jim Click is strategizing by stocking some hot R/Ts which area easier to sell. Buyers who can't sit pat with a six cylinder but balk at an SRT8 will be won over by the striped and wild colored range of R/Ts on the lot. It looks like a 1970 time warp. It would be very hard to resist moving up from a six to one of the R/Ts beckoning.

JIM CLICK FORD LINCOLN EAST, Tucson, AZ/ 877-777-9263

PAULIN MOTOR CO (Oldsmobile-Cadillac), Tucson, AZ

Paulin Motor Company was an Oldsmobile-Cadillac dealership located at Broadway and Plumer in Tucson, Arizona. Robert W. Paulin was the president.

According to a 1972 court case involving a buyout of Bryan Oldsmobile in 1966 Paulin had been in business in Tucson, Arizona for eighteen years which places the establishment of the business around 1948.

Paulin's nephew states that Robert W. Paulin owned the dealership from 1951 to 1984 and recalled that the building was built in 1951. The building was gutted in a flash flood within the first three years of business and rebuilt.

A Tucsan Daily Citizen newspaper article from Jan 25, 1958 mentions that Paulin Motors (Paulin Motor Co) moved to a purpose built new location in Sep, 1958 which filled a city block of 2121 East Broadway. The glass front building was designed by Tucson architect Cecil H. Moore, Split-level showrooms featured Cadillac occupying the fully carpeted upper level, and Oldsmobile occupying the lower level terrazzo tile floor. The dealership retained a used car lot at 711 N. Stone Avenue.

The new dealer location was close to Holmes Tuttle and Selby Motors and the owners of these businesses cooperated with one another.

Jim's father bought a Chevrolet dealership in 1958. After University it wasn't surprising that Jim Click began working for Holmes Tuttle learning the ropes. Jim Click formed a large Auto Group which is as well known for its size as it is for the philanthropic efforts of Jim Click.

Pueblo Ford may have also had a musclecar reputation prior to Jim Click's ownership because it was selected by Ford to receive one of the 1969 Ford Talladegas. Many of the dealers who received these cars were Shelby dealers or performance oriented dealers. Pueblo Ford took delivery of the 76th built Talladega (VIN 9A46Q189775) which was Maroon. See more about Jim Click and his dealerships above in this article.

Holmes Tuttle Ford Lincoln is located at 660 W Automall Drive, Tucson, AZ. Tuttle-Click Automotive Group came to Tucson, Arizona in 1971.

The dealership was located on East Broadway, Tucson, Arizona during the boom years of the 1950s when Selby Motors, Paulin Motors and Rollings Chrysler all occupied this area of town and networked and cooperated with one another.

There is a record of a 1969 Ford Talladega being sold from Holmes Tuttle Broadway Ford. The Holmes car was the 75th built Talladega was Maroon (VIN 9A46Q189774). These cars were frequently sent to performance oriented dealerships so it is possible that in the 1960s Holmes Tuttle had some sort of musclecar image established.

Today Holmes Tuttle has expanded to thirteen dealerships in Arizona. The Tuttle Click Auto Group traces back to Holmes Tuttle who came from Oklahoma and worked for a Ford dealership. Holmes opened his own Mercury or Lincoln dealership in Beverley Hills, California in the 1930s. The Tuttle Click Automotive Group was formed in 1946. Back in the days when Ronald Reagan was an actor, Reagan bought a car from Holmes which later led to Holmes working in politics.
